CryptoExpert allows you to create secure data vaults on your Windows-powered machine. In these vaults you can safely store any data you want – pictures you want to remain private, sensitive documents, and so on. The only person who can access these vaults and the data they store is you, because you’re the only one who knows the password to unlock them.

Seeing that CryptoExpert installation file is little over 7MB in size, it won’t take long to get it off the web and onto your computer. Run this file once you have it and you will be presented with a setup wizard what will guide you through all the steps you need to take in order to install CryptoExpert on your Windows-powered machine – that’s any 32-bit or 64-bit edition of Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, or Windows XP SP2.

As it is very similar to Windows Explorer, you will immediately feel at home with the CryptoExpert interface. In the upper left hand side of this interface you will find a New Vault button (that you can use to create a new vault, add an existing vault, and find vaults on the computer) and a Tools button (that you can use to access the Options menu, manage USB keys, generate key files, and enable the “Auto open on windows start up” option).

Using CryptoExpert is a simple two step process: create a vault, start adding files to that vault. The nice thing is that a simple wizard will help you quickly and effortlessly create a vault. You will get to pick a name and location for the vault, you will get to choose the size of the vault, and you will get to select a password for the vault. Once you have the vault, unlock it to be able to add files, lock it to make sure no one can access the files that are inside the vault.

Please note that CryptoExpert is not free, it is only free to try. You can evaluate the application’s functionality for a trial period of 30 days.

Thanks to CryptoExpert, you can easily create vaults and securely store confidential data inside them.

Pros

CryptoExpert works with 32 and 64-bit Windows editions, anything from XP SP2 up to 8. The application features a user friendly, Explorer-like interface. Easily create vaults and securely store data inside them.

Cons

Free to use for a 30-day trial.
